In NSTI(W) Trivandrum , ’Computer Software Applications(CITS)’ course started in August 2018. Now undergoing the fifth batch of CSA CITS in our institute. This course enables the instructors to develop instructional skills for mentoring the trainees, engaging all trainees in learning process and managing effective utilization of resources. Nowadays the IT field is one of the rapidly growing field and many opportunities will be awaiting for the trainees those who have completing this course.

“Computer Operator & Programming Assistant “ (CTS)  is one of the prominent trade imparting  in various NSTIs and ITIs throughout the country. In NSTI(W), Trivandrum at present the sanctioned seats in COPA trade  is 48(2 Units) and every year more than 200 candidates were applying for this course. This showing the high demand of this course in Kerala. Last 16 Years  trained about 750 trainees appx. Among, that many of them are working in various IT firms, Accounts Sections of some firms, State Government and Central Govt. Offices as Data Entry Operators, Technicians, Store Assistant, Library Assistant and Hardware technicians. Some of the trainees in  COPA last year batch were  joined in Computer Software Applications (CITS ) course. Nowadays the IT field is one of the rapidly growing field and many opportunities will be awaiting for the trainees those who have completing this course. We also conduct short term courses which is more beneficial to the working women in various fields. In 2016-17 batch one  COPA Trainee, Sruthi.S got job at Central Electro Chemical Research Institute, Chennai as COPA Technician and few trainees were working in the Purchase department of CDAC, Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala

Mask Production in Lockdown Period

Dress Making CTS & CITS trainees stitched 25000 masks for Kerala Police Department and Stitched almost 1000 masks and distributed to other essential services like Circle Inspector Office Kazhakuttom, SBI, Kazhakuttom and Kerala Public Service Commission, Trivandrum

Won the first runner up in National Skill Fest

Dress Making CITS trainee Ms. Jesni Nazeer S N won the first runner up for the National Skill India competition 2019 held at Kozhikode.

Got  Government Jobs

   Some of the ex-trainees Asha, Sreeja ,and Sangeetha were selected as Junior Instructors and Sindhu and  Arathi  as senior Instructor under Technical Education Department, Kerala State

Conducted Short term Courses

Short term courses conducted for almost 100 trainees every year. A variety of courses are included for the Short term course like Jewellery Making, Soft Toys Making, Software Application in Fashion Designing, Software Application in Pattern Making and Embroidery, Machine Embroidery and Designer Garment Stitching and Fabric Painting etc. Also conducted Short term courses for almost 500 women trainees in CRPF Pallipuram from 2014 to 2018.

Conducted Garments Sales

Dress Making Section conducted Garments Sales for stitched garments by trainees in 2019 and 2020 and got profit.

Entrepreneurs

Some trainees like Ganga from Pothencode, Sibija from Chirayinkeezhu studied from here opened Boutique their own and running successfully.

Stitched Materials for NSTI Trivandrum

    Bed Cover and Pillow Cover for Hostel, Stitched curtain for Open Stage and Stitched Backrest cover for Chairs in Conference Room done by DM trainees.

Conducted Exhibition for other States

Exhibited Jewellery and Soft Toys made by Dress Making Trainees in Skill India Fest held in Mumbai.

In addition to these trainees conduct grant Fashion Show every year wearing their own designed out fits.
